Mr. Amidi, has over 25 years of experience in semiconductor and technology industry where he spent the last 20 years in Solid State Storage were he held various management and executive positions in companies such as STEC, SMART, Netlist, and WD. Mike held several executive level responsibilities to manage business units with over $130M P&L where he has successfully managed several groups across geographically dispersed areas such as U.S., China, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Brazil.
Mike has vast knowledge of storage, Flash, and DRAM design, development, and product marketing where he managed to develop, a series of successful product portfolio that revolutionized these industries. Mike has over 15 years of design and development expertise. He held many hands-on positions such as Hardware Engineering, Software and Firmware Engineering, ASIC and FPGA design, PCB layout engineering, and test engineering. Mike has 20 granted Patents through US Patent office. Mike has several publications in storage and semiconductor industries as well.
Among his expertise are Executive Management, P&L, Strategic Management, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, and Product Development, Program Management, and IP development. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a second Bachelor degree in Business Management, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with concentration in Finance.
Co-founder, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Chairman of the Board
Mr. Roohparvar, has over 30 years of technology and executive management experience, and a proven track record in the creation and execution of successful corporate strategies that have benefited start-ups and large semiconductor companies.
Prior to joining Xitore, Mr. Roohparvar served as Vice President and Senior Strategic Advisor at HGST (a WD company). He became part of the HGST team as a result of HGST’s acquisition of Skyera, an All Flash Array Storage start up, where he served as the CEO. Prior to joining Skyera, Mr. Roohparvar was the General Manager and Vice President of the NAND business unit at Micron Technology. Mr. Roohparvar is a prolific inventor and has over 520 authored and co-authored granted Patents with US Patent Office. He also served on the board of directors of Link-A-Media, a flash controller company acquired by SK Hynix in 2012.
Mr. Roohparvar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from both Columbia Business School and the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and General Counsel
Mr. Saman, has over 25 years of legal, corporate and international experience at top-tier global law firms and public, pre-IPO and private technology companies, including venture-backed enterprises. Robert has extensive experience in corporate and board governance; business development and international expansion; compliance and risk management; intellectual property; public/private M&A; securities laws; and equity and debt venture financings.
Prior to Xitore, Robert served as the General Counsel of Corent Technology, a private SaaS-enablement and software delivery as a service company, and as the Chief Legal Officer of sTec, a Nasdaq enterprise-class, solid-state storage manufacturer that was acquired by Western Digital at a 91% premium. Robert has also held senior leadership roles within the legal departments of Gateway computers and Eclipsys Corporation, a publicly-traded provider of healthcare information technology solutions.
Robert began his legal career at a top Silicon Valley law firm (Cooley). Prior to law school, he had a complementary seven-year business career that included consultancy/auditing at Ernst & Young.
Robert holds a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Contractor
Mr. Laskey, is a senior finance and operations executive with over 25 years global experience in both public and private technology-based companies. He was the CFO at Quest Software (Acquired by Dell) during its IPO and was brought in as CFO at MSC.Software to manage its financial restatement and subsequent listing on NASDAQ.
As CFO, John helped orchestrate the acquisition of Venture Capital-backed Vue Technology to Tyco, Inc. John has also been CFO at Webplan (now Kinaxis) and Continuus Software (now IBM).
John has helped to raise over $50 million in Venture Capital and Debt. Mr. Laskey’s experience includes financial modeling and analysis for organizations with direct sales, alternate and on-line distribution channels and professional services; establishing offshore development and support organizations in China, India, Russia and Ireland; negotiating and integrating numerous successful acquisitions and he has multiple years of experience in managing IT, Legal, Human Resources, Facilities, Investor Relations and SEC reporting.
John Laskey holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois.
Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Board Member
Mr. Eisenberg has over 30 years of experience in the digital storage, semiconductor, and technology Industries, with an exceptional proven track record in global sales and executive leadership. Mr. Eisenberg’s impressive record of achievements includes 18 years in the solid state storage market. He has successfully leveraged both direct and indirect sales models across diversified, globalized customers in Enterprise, OEM, Channel, and Consumer market segments.
Prior to joining Xitore, Mr. Eisenberg served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for OCZ Storage Solutions (a Toshiba Group Company), where he helped guide the company through a successful acquisition by Toshiba. Prior to OCZ, Mr. Eisenberg spent 16 years at SMART Modular Technologies, a developer of memory and solid-state storage subsystems, where he held various senior sales management positions, including nine years as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing Communications. Through his efforts in penetrating new markets, securing major European wins, establishing a channel operation, and managing executive negotiations on all major enterprise sales and distribution agreements, SMART’s worldwide sales increased from $70M to $1B and the global account base grew from 60 to 800+, including customers such as Cisco, IBM, Dell, Alcatel-Lucent, and Ericsson.
Mr. Eisenberg has also served as the Area Sales Manager for the Notebook Computer Division of Toshiba America Inc. and under his leadership, the business division revenue grew from $31M to $64M. During his early career, Mr. Eisenberg held sales and marketing positions with GRiD Systems and Harris Corporation.
Mr. Eisenberg also serves on Xitore’s Board of Directors.
Vice President of Operation and Program Management Office
Mr. Vakilian, has over 25 years of experience in semiconductor and enterprise Industries where he successfully established ground up business unit that generated over $500 Million of revenue. Kevin’s extensive ingenuity, innovation, operation, marketing, product design and development experience has collectively put him in a unique position to build, manage, and create world class products for memory and storage industries.
Mr. Vakilian held several senior management position with companies such as Viking Components (A Sanmina Company), IC Solution, STEC (A Western Digital Company), Celerity Group, PowerWave Technologies, and QLogic. Kevin has successfully established ground up engineering and program management teams locally and international in Europe, Asia and India with significant saving to the company’s bottom line. Kevin’s broad technical expertise has led him to successfully grant 3 patents with US Patent Office that lead to design win within industry. Kevin’s technical knowledge, business acumen, program management, and operation expertise produced Multi-Million Dollar Revenues with positive bottom line.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA). Kevin also has Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Vice President of Hardware Engineering
Mr. Gervasi, has over 40 years of experience in high speed memory subsystem definition, design, and product development. His background is in computer sciences and his career highlights include 19 years at Intel where he was systems hardware designer, software designer, and strategic accounts manager. Mr. Gervasi subsequently was with S3 where he was a graphics architecture specialist and at Transmeta as memory technology analyst. Most recently he was Senior Technologist at Netlist, VP of DRAM Technology at SimpleTech (sTec/HGST, a Western Digital company), and VP of Engineering at US Modular driving unique memory module configurations.
Mr. Gervasi has been involved in the definition of Double Data Rate SDRAM since its earliest inception. He has served on the JEDEC Board of Directors and chaired committees for DRAM parametrics and small form factor memory modules during the development of DDR1 through DDR5. He was also responsible for the formation of the JEDEC committee on SSDs and is active in the deployment of non-volatile memory modules. Mr. Gervasi holds 10 granted patents with US Patent Office in memory and packaging design. He regularly conducts public speaking on memory technology at JEDEC, SNIA, MemCon, and Flash Memory Summit, and has performed expert witness testimony in several major patent cases.
Director of Product Marketing
Mr. Finke, has been a key contributor in the computer, semiconductor, and storage industry for over 30 years. Prior to Xitore, Doug was at HGST (a subsidiary of Western Digital) where he was responsible for business management of large petabyte scale storage systems. Before that Doug served as Senior Director of Product Marketing at sTec (acquired by HGST) which pioneered the concept of solid state drives (SSDs) for use in enterprise computing applications.
Previously he served as the Chief Operating Officer of startup company IntelliSense Corporation where he was instrumental in the acquisition of the company by Corning Inc. for a valuation of $750 million. As Vice-President of Marketing and Business Development at Boston-based semiconductor startup ChipWrights, Doug helped raise $25 million in venture capital funding. Prior to that he was the Vice-President of Marketing at Standard Microsystems Corporation (SMSC), a key supplier to major computer OEMs of IO and networking ASICs for use on PC motherboards. Doug worked at Intel Corporation in memory and ASIC marketing and started his career at IBM as a design engineer working on cache memory design of mainframe computers. Doug has 8 granted patents with US Patent Office related to NVDIMM and Storage designs.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from MIT.
